Troy Haley

I have devoted my life to service—whether in uniform, the boardroom, or my local community. My leadership philosophy is simple but powerful: make data-driven decisions, foster collaboration, and build strong, trusting relationships.

This approach has consistently delivered measurable results and long-term success in every organization I have served.

For 23 years, I proudly served in the military, and saw three combat tours. Trusted with our nation’s highest security clearance, I handled some of the country’s most sensitive information—always with unwavering integrity and focus.

Over the years, I wore many hats: Intelligence Analyst, First Sergeant, and Operations Sergeant—leading multidisciplinary teams through some of the most high-stakes missions

Closer to home, I played a critical role in coordinating emergency relief efforts during Hurricanes Irene and Sandy. As the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, I worked hand-in-hand with local, state, and federal agencies to deliver life-saving aid and support to New Yorkers in crisis.

These missions put my analytical mind, strategic planning abilities, and calm, adaptive leadership to the test—qualities that empowered my teams to succeed even under the most intense pressure.

Since then, I have helped developed businesses here in Red Hook and served the community in some of the following ways:

  • Board of Astor Services and member of Families for Astor, helping to plan two Ghost Stories events

  • Current Financial Manager of the VFW and past Junior Vice President

  • Past President and Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce Board

  • Red Hook Soccer Coach for four years

  • Active parent of an eighth grader at Linden Avenue Middle School
